As the federal government rang in a new year trying to figure out how best to dole out a $700 billion safety net, American businesses were embroiled in an ongoing bailout of their own. In a super-sized nation where nearly 70% of the population is overweight – 35% obesely so – U.S. businesses are picking up the tab when it comes to being fat.
